Project for a residential building located
in an historic urban
context formed by homogenous lots with
buildings and gardens from the early
1900’s. The
typological coherence with the existing context is maintained
by the new L-shaped volume composed of two four storey
orthagonal wings with gable roofs (gross floor area 3.150 sq.
mt.). The building presents an urban front along the street
and has an internal wing on the north side of the lot, leaving
the principal part of the garden,
with tall trees, intact and
optimizing the perspective view of the adjacent green areas.
The street facade, articulated by regular orders of
rectangular windows, is more opaque, while the internal
elevations are animated by loggias and large picture windows
towards the garden to take advantage of the greenery and the
silence. The service
access for the garden and to
the three
floors of underground parking is on the north side of the
lot.
