With the introduction of computer sciences in the schools, Olivetti decided to produce support furniture for teaching the use of personal computers. The system, conceived for groups of 2 or 3 students per PC, solved ergonomic problems (distance from the monitor, visual angle), technical problems (wiring for multiple stations) and cost production problems,  through the reworking of standard Olivetti components.
